First, once again many thanks to all you for your kind commentaries about csegRollUp.

Sorry for being so late but I have had a lot of work last days, and nights are so short...

Fixes

For users with problems in sites with ports diferents to 80, I must say that all tests of this new version have been done with a server installed in the port 1000 and all them have run correctly.

For users with problems as "not in the configuration database"  they are using only wss sites, now csegRollUp runs correctly.

Remember that the field and list separator is comma ','

Installation

First is very important uninstall the previous version:

stsadm -o deletewppack -filename csegRollUp.cab  and them install the new one.

New Features

A new functionality has been added. To use it, please, indicate the name of the lists you want to rollup List,List2,List3 (a "coma" after every list) and choose the option "Lists in all subsites".

The webpart will search these lists in all the subsites of a lower level, and show the results.

Remember the csegRollUp XSL contest I wait for your contributions.

Is it possible to implement a filter in XSL that is the equivalent of the "[Me]" feature in standard WSS views? An example of this is a rollup across several task lists for all items where "Assigned To" is equal to the authenticated user.

No at the moment but I have some ideas for a future release.

Hi, your csegRollUp is very helpful, but I have the same qestion as Marc. I have tried to make it work with only items belonging to the user who is logged-in, but with no luck. Any information on this would be great. Thanks.

Hi! I am very interested in examining your rollup component further. However, I am having some difficulties with the install and am wondering if you can help out. I have a base installation of WSS 2.0 sp1. I've installed csegRollUp via stsadm, but now when I attempt to add the control to a page, I get a "Request for the permission of type Microsoft.SharePoint.Security.SharePointPermission...) error.

From what I've been able to figure out, it is something with the way the webpart is registered with the system. Are there any security configuration setting changes I need to make specific to csegRollUp?

As I stated above, all I have is a straight, simple out of the box WSS install, so I'm at a bit of a loss.

Sorry! Seems I forgot that SPS sets trust level to WSS_Minimal. And i guess your WP uses the Object model to traverse the site hierarchy. Changed the trust level to WSS_Medium and everything like a charm :)

Must say I'm impressed by your work…keep it up

Thanks.

It's a great and helpful tool, thanks. :)
I have a question about sort two or more lists with one or more common fields in these lists. Is there existed this function or setting in V2 or V3?

I'm trying to figure out a way to chart off of the values in the roll-up. Looked at the Microsoft Chart Webpart, but it needs an iRowProvider. Any ideas?

Hi, I have installed your csegRollUp and I don't have problems. But your csegRollUp shows fields that I don't want, fields like: _ListTitle, _ListUrl, _SiteTitle, _SiteUrl, _ItemId and _ItemUrl, when I only want to show the field "Título", that is the field that I have writed in the property 'Fields'. How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

Juan
